St. Paul de Vence

St. Paul de Vence is a small village 12 km. from Nice. It is considered one of the most beautiful villages in France. Many painters settled here because of the quality of the light. Discover narrow streets and facades from the XV and XVI centuries. There are magnificent landscapes views from the ramparts and shops, art galleries and restaurants.

St. Paul can be reached by 400 bus from Nice.

Day 1 Nice, France

Started the day picking up a few essentials. I wonder how many times I can climb the four flights of stairs to my apartnent? I made it twice today! Each time is a little easier.

Then stopped for Socca for breakfast.
After browsing in a few shops, walked to the Port and then along the Promenade.
Lovely day for a walk. 70 degrees and sunny, although too windy to sit near the water.

            Nice, Port

Both sides of the Port are lined with cafes.
I ate at Le Lunai. The mozzarella salad was quite good.

        Promenade des Anglais

            Bar overlooking the Promenade.
