I am embarking on. 6 month travel journey. Beginning in NIce, it is easy to take days trips along the Riviera and into Italy by either train or bus.
Wondeful weather year round it is easy to feel relaxed and avoid the stress of everyday life.
I am learning to enjoy the joie de vivre (joy of life) on the French Riviera.
On the hills along the aqua blue waters, every cliff bristles with hot-pink villas, their balconies skewed through the sea. In Centre VIlle the city built a pedestrian walk lined with benches, gardens, playground and fountains. Every afternoon the elderly, youth, families are walking and relaxing on the benches.
Extending the length of the Baie Anges is a promenade extending to the port area and beyond.
Bordering Vieux NIce is Le Chateau providing a Panoramic view if the CIty and the Baie if Anfes.
One can take a small train to the top of Le Chateaui however you miss some of the beautiful scenery getting to the top and then you do not have time to linger and admire the beauty. The walk is not difficult however one needs to be in decent shape physically.
